21 for 21
The President of the Methodist Conference, The Revd Michaela A Youngson, will be on the judging panel at 21 for 21.
This initiative is a search for 21 young leaders who have helped to break down barriers between the three dynamic religions. These 21 — seven Jews, seven Christians, seven Muslims — are at work today, leading projects, creating dialogues, running organisations: all demonstrating in their work and their lives how their faith makes them more open, not less, to friendships and social action across cultural boundaries.

The Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ) has been celebrating its 75th anniversary and the Methodist Conference this summer commended its continuing work. In responding to the same Memorial from Lincolnshire District, the Conference also deplored the rising level of anti-Semitic incidents in our country and condemned anti-Semitism as ‘evil and wrong’. The full text is contained in Notice of Motion 105 which can be found here.
Team Leader for the Joint Public Issues Team, Rachel Lampard, recently visited the Holy Land with the CCJ, meeting people across the faith communities, and her reflection can still be read here.

The Three Faiths Forum changed its name this May to the Faith & Belief Forum. The Forum continues to run its ParliaMentors scheme, under which teams of university students of different faiths and non-religious beliefs collaborate to create real social change while being mentored by MPs. It has also launched a Charter for Faith & Belief Inclusion, a series of principles that support inclusivity and promote the need for a more open and constructive conversation about faith and belief in our communities. Details can be found on their excellent website.
