All We Can – Indonesia 

All We Can and The Methodist Church in Britain are continuing their support of the people of Indonesia. This follows the destruction caused by the earthquake and tsunami in September and the devastation resulting from the volcanic eruption on 22 December 2018.

Internship Programme 

The Methodist Church is seeking young people aged 21-26 who want to develop their careers and faith. The

internship programme offers a year exploring faith and personal development alongside paid employment with a range of professional organisations across a variety of business and charity sectors. Application deadlines are throughout February depending on individual internships.  

One Encounter Programme

The One Encounter programme offers young people a chance to have experiences that expand their horizons. The programme has two opportunities available for next year; in Ibiza,16-28 June, and South India, 17-27 October. The application deadline for South India is 31 January and for Ibiza, 25 February.

Science and faith grants

The 7 January is the closing date for churches to apply for a new round of ecumenical grants from the Church of England to fund activities aimed at promoting a better understanding between science and faith.

MWRC Fellowships

The University of Manchester and the Manchester Wesley Research Centre are pleased to welcome applications for their Joint Visiting Fellowship programme, the deadline is 14 January. Applications for the Sabbatical Fellow programme for pastors, laypeople, and missionaries are open until 31 January 2019.

Methodist Publishing 

The 2019 Methodist Heritage calendar and 2019 Methodist diaries are all now half price. Order yours while stocks last.

OneSound in Bristol

OneSound, one of the UK’s leading Christian music ensembles, will be performing at Victoria Methodist Church, Bristol on 12 January.  

Methodist Prayer Handbook

Submit your prayers to be used in the next Methodist Prayer Handbook. The theme for the 2019/2020 Handbook is ‘responding to the gospel’, inspired by Our Calling. Email your prayers here and read submission guidelines here.
