Thy Kingdom Come resources

Resources and prayers for Thy Kingdom Come are now available from our website. The Revd Hilary Cooke has written a service especially commissioned by the Methodist Church. The novena ‘I hear you differently!’ is written by the Revd Dr Barbara C Glasson, President-Designate of the Methodist Conference. Copies will be distributed to all districts.

Study support

The deadline for this year’s applications for financial support for Higher Education study is 20 May 2019. Support is available to Methodist presbyters and deacons who are in appointments under the control of the Methodist Conference. Methodist congregation, circuit or district employees may also be eligible. More information can be found here.

Susanna Wesley Conference booking open

Bookings for the conference, ‘A Bright Succession: after Susanna Wesley, gender, heritage and faith’ are open. The conference is on 12-14 July 2019 at University of Lincoln, Brayford Pool, Lincoln. The conference will explore the legacy of Susanna Wesley today.

Volunteer for 3Generate

3Generate are looking for volunteers to help run the event in 2019. All volunteers will need to apply and are subject to our comprehensive safer recruitment procedures. For more information please email 3genvols@methodistchurch.org.uk and you will be sent an information pack.

Easter edition of Rainbow

The new ‘Rainbow’ magazine features Thandi, a teacher who helps vulnerable children as part of the ‘wandering teachers’ project run by Pinetown Methodist Church. ‘Rainbow’ also spoke to JMA Ireland to find out what mission means to them. No Deal Brexit

“The risks of an unplanned ‘No Deal’ Brexit endanger poorest families,” reads a statement from Church Leaders. We continue to pray for our politicians and for all who are experiencing poverty.

Youth President Exploration day cancelled

The Youth President Exploration Day originally planned to take place on 17 April has been cancelled. We will keep you updated with further opportunities. If you would like more information on Youth Presidency, please contact Ella Sibley.

All We Can Cyclone Idai appeal

All We Can and The Methodist Church in Britain continue their urgent appeal to support the people of Malawi following the devastating flooding and cyclone in March 2019. Your donation could provide vital food supplies for families that have suffered great loss.

The UK parliament is in recess from 11 – 23 April.The Scottish Parliament is in recess until 22 April, and the National Assembly for Wales is in recess until 29 April.
